Glück in the New Yorker




From "A Village Life," by Louise Glück in the New Yorker:
On Sundays I walk my neighbor's dog
so she can go to church to pray for her sick mother.

That is one talented dog.

So does satire imply an intention by the author? I mean how else could one read this? So bad it's good. Maybe.
